Interchange Settlement

This Case is Active and Filing Claims

US-based businesses that accepted Visa- and Mastercard-branded card payments between January 1, 2004 and January 25, 2019, were allegedly forced to pay excessive interchange fees, which violated antitrust laws.

Your company could be eligible for a share of the $5.54 Billion settlement.

About the Settlement

After more than thirteen years of litigation this lawsuit has finally settled for $5.54 Billion. This lawsuit alleged that Visa and Mastercard – individually, and together with their respective member banks – colluded to maintain and inflate interchange fees paid by US-based merchants, violating antitrust laws.

The deadline to file a claim for this settlement is May 31st, 2024

How Can I Qualify?

Any persons, businesses, and other entities accepting Visa or Mastercard branded debit or credit card payments, operating in the U.S. between January 1, 2004 and January 25, 2019 – you may qualify! Your company does not still have to be in business (i.e., bankrupt, sold, and closed businesses still qualify)!

You do not qualify for the settlement if you are a dismissed plaintiff, the US government, a named Defendant or their directors, officers, or members of their families, or a financial institution that has issued or acquired Visa- and Mastercard-branded cards or transactions.
